The OPA 840 is the top-of-the-range opacimeter in Tecnomotor’s 800 series, designed for opacity measurement of diesel engines in repair shops, inspection centres, and vehicle inspection stations. The opacity chamber developed by Tecnomotor ensures high measurement precision and reliability even under the most demanding operating conditions, such as those typical of industrial vehicles and agricultural vehicles.
Designed for integration with external control stations, the OPA 840 can be connected to a PC via cable or Bluetooth and used in DIR/RETE configurations. The integrated electronics and proprietary algorithms eliminate the need to calibrate the internal optical devices, requiring only the periodic verification mandated by regulations.
The product line also includes the OPA 820, a standalone version equipped with a keyboard, LCD display, and integrated thermal printer for autonomous testing. Both models share the same metrological platform and can be equipped with internal batteries, dedicated probes, carriages, and specific accessories for various operational applications.
