MACHINE VISION AND DIMENSION MEASUREMENT USING A CONTACTLESS SYSTEM
Without any operator intervention, EyeLight Plus, using a professional camera and advanced machine vision techniques (Corghi patent), captures and processes the image of the wheel, identifying its balancing planes. At the same time, two high-precision laser sensors carry out dimensional measurements on the wheel completely autonomously, without any contact (Contactless System), in just a few seconds.
AUTOMATIC POSITIONING AND LED LIGHTING
At the end of the spin cycle, the wheel is brought to a halt and automatically moved into the balancing position (RPA). The built-in LED light illuminates the work area to facilitate the cleaning of the rim and the fitting of balance weights.
APPLICATION OF ADHESIVE COUNTERWEIGHTS
The internal dot laser indicates, with the utmost precision, where the adhesive counterweights should be applied.
COMPREHENSIVE WHEEL DIAGNOSTICS
The diagnostic programme automatically detects:
a) the point of maximum eccentricity of the wheel and guides the operator in positioning it correctly on the hub, before tightening the bolts, to eliminate vibrations right from the fitting stage (BESTFIT);
b) the radial and lateral eccentricity of the wheel (1st harmonic and peak-to-peak) to calculate the best fit between the parts, thereby resolving typical road vibration issues (FAST-MATCHING); c) wheel drift, which causes the vehicle to veer constantly towards one side of the road whilst travelling in a straight line; d) tread depth in three areas of the tyre
INTELLIGENT POSITIONING
A specialised diagnostic tool for vehicle wheel sets, designed to check tyre tread wear, toe angles, eccentricity and imbalances. Once all the wheels have been recorded, EyeLight Plus suggests the best way to position them on the vehicle to optimise comfort and safety.
