The EM 9550 C Plus is the Corghi wheel balancer designed for workshops looking to increase productivity, precision, and service quality without complicating their daily workflow.
Thanks to Smart Arm Plus technology, automatic wheel positioning, and the Laser Line system, every step of the balancing process becomes faster, more intuitive, and more precise.
The new digital caliper automatically measures the wheel’s diameter and offset, while the FSP function automatically selects the correct balancing program, eliminating unnecessary steps and reducing the risk of error. 
Designed for passenger car, SUV, and light commercial vehicle wheels, the EM 9550 C Plus combines professional performance, ergonomics, and ease of use in a compact and reliable machine, perfect for everyday work.  

Also available in the EM 9550 Plus version with manual wheel clamping via a quick-release ring nut.

Features and functions

SMART ARM PLUS – AUTOMATIC MEASUREMENT AND OPERATOR GUIDANCE

The Smart Arm Plus system automatically detects the wheel’s diameter and distance and, thanks to the FSP (Fast Selection Programme) function, selects the correct balancing programme without the need for manual intervention. The integrated LaserBlade pointer also guides the operator in selecting the inner surfaces of the rim, improving both precision and working speed. 

AUTOMATIC POSITIONING OF RPA AND LED ILLUMINATOR

At the end of the measurement cycle, the wheel is automatically braked and moved to the correct position for fitting the counterweights. The built-in LED light improves visibility of the work area and facilitates all balancing operations. 

LASER LINE SYSTEM

The Laser Line system enables adhesive counterweights to be applied quickly and accurately thanks to the laser pointer at the 6 o’clock position. This reduces the time taken and improves the quality of the final result. 

AUTOMATIC ELECTROMECHANICAL LOCK

The EM 9550 C Plus model is fitted with an automatic electromechanical wheel-clamping system which improves wheel alignment and significantly reduces working time, making the balancing process faster and more repeatable. 

PROFESSIONAL OPTIMISATION PROGRAMMES

The EM9550C Plus incorporates a range of advanced features that enhance both the final result and operational efficiency: 

  • Hidden Weight for concealed positioning of the counterweights
  • OPT Flash to reduce vibrations and improve ride comfort
  • Split Weight for optimised weight management on alloy wheels 
  • AWC for automatic calculation of wheel width even without an AWD sensor  

COMPACT, ERGONOMIC AND READY FOR THE MODERN WORKSHOP

The sloping front panel facilitates access to the inside of the wheel rim, whilst the space-saving wheel guard allows for wall-mounted installation without compromising operational capability. The machine is also designed for connection to Corghi TT-Zero Gravity and TT-R wheel lifts, reducing operator effort and speeding up day-to-day work.
