The HD 1800 Hydrus is Corghi’s automatic tyre changer designed to handle the most extreme applications involving truck, agricultural, earthmoving, and logging tyres, ensuring maximum power, reliability, and ease of operation even under the most demanding conditions.

The system utilizes a high-performance, fully hydraulic setup capable of delivering constant force, high torque, and operating speeds among the most advanced in its class, making work on large wheels easier and safer.

HIGH-POWER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM

The HD 1800 Hydrus utilises a powerful hydraulic system that enables continuous, high-performance operation, whilst maintaining maximum efficiency even under load.

The power unit is separate from the machine, reducing the overall footprint and making it easier to manoeuvre in the workshop.

HEAVY-DUTY SELF-CENTRING UP TO 60”

The self-centring clamping system is designed to operate in extreme conditions, offering an operating capacity of up to 50” without extensions and up to 60” with extensions, thanks to its reinforced, high-strength structure.
This configuration ensures stability, safety and full operational versatility, enabling even the latest generation of oversized tyres to be handled reliably.

INDEPENDENT MOTIONS FOR MAXIMUM PRODUCTIVITY

The movements of the self-centring mechanism and the tool arm are completely independent, allowing the wheel and tools
to be
positioned with maximum freedom and speed

The tool arm operates at high speed, whilst the clamping system provides the necessary force to ensure consistently controlled machining, thereby improving efficiency and reducing cycle times.

HEAVY-DUTY TOOL SET

The tooling unit has been designed to withstand the most demanding conditions, featuring a robust construction and highly durable components.
The reinforced cutting disc and the use of advanced design features, such as bearings derived from the aerospace industry, ensure precision, reliability and durability, even in the most demanding applications.

ERGONOMIC WIRELESS CONSOLE

The ergonomic wireless control console allows all operations to be managed in a safer, more practical and controlled
manner, whilst keeping the operator at a distance from the work area.
This approach improves working conditions, reduces fatigue and enhances safety throughout all stages of the process.

HIGH-STRENGTH STRUCTURAL FOUNDATION

The base is the machine’s key component, designed to absorb the stresses generated during the heaviest machining operations.
This structure enables the operating limits to be extended, ensuring stability and safety even when handling large wheels.
