The PT8 FW is Corghi’s new test stand designed to test the steering, suspension, and mechanical components of vehicles weighing up to 3.5 metric tons and over 3.5 metric tons. Approved for both Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles, it meets the requirements of European Directive 2014/45/EU and represents an evolution of traditional play detection thanks to its 8 new operating modes, developed to make the wear detection and fault detection even more accurate.
The system uses large movable plates controlled via a wireless LED torch, with full management handled by a new PLC-controlled hydraulic power unit. The plates can operate individually or in pairs, performing longitudinal, transverse, diagonal, and combined movements, allowing for the precise reproduction of the stresses to which vehicle components are subjected while driving.
The structure is designed to ensure high long-term reliability thanks to its robust slide guides, integrated position sensors, and reinforced hydraulic connections. The system can be used for recessed installation, floor installation, or integration into existing civil engineering structures using specific installation kits.
